  1. 1 Corinthians 1:12 Apollos: one of the important figures in the beginnings of Christianity, and Paul speaks more than once of his sincerity (see Acts 18:24-28; 1 Cor 3:4-5, 22; 16:12). Some scholars think he may be the author of the Letter to the Hebrews. Cephas: the apostle Peter (see Jn 1:42), who may have paid a visit to Corinth.
